The 18th National Conference on Noise and Vibration Control Engineering – Sanyuan Environment Demonstrates Sound Insulation Application Examples

I. A Gathering of Authorities to Explore the Future of Noise Control

From May 23rd to 25th, 2025, the 18th National Conference on Noise and Vibration Control Engineering, hosted by the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, was held in Xiamen. The conference, themed "A Tranquil China, Returning Tranquility to the People," brought together experts, scholars, and technical and management personnel from ecological and environmental management departments, manufacturing enterprises, universities, research institutions, and monitoring agencies in the field of noise and vibration control. The aim was to promote technological innovation in noise pollution prevention and control, contribute to achieving the "14th Five-Year Plan" environmental governance goals, and lay the foundation for achieving the goal of "comprehensive improvement of sound environment quality" during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

This conference focused on cutting-edge topics such as intelligent noise monitoring and noise reduction using metamaterials. It featured a main venue and several sub-venues, with over 50 presentations analyzing technological breakthroughs and policy trends. Invited guests included Wang Jie, engineer from the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment; Wang Yun, senior engineer from the China National Environmental Monitoring Centre; Mao Yuru, deputy secretary-general of the China Nuclear Safety and Environmental Culture Promotion Association; and Huang Wei, vice president of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association. Together with leading scholars and representatives from benchmark enterprises, the conference facilitated academic discussions and exchanges of practical results.

II. Sound Insulation Application Examples in Two-Dimensional Environments

As a benchmark enterprise in the field of noise control, Sichuan Sanyuan Environmental Governance Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the conference and delivered two keynote speeches, sharing its innovative achievements and engineering experience in the field of ventilation and sound insulation technology, becoming a typical representative of the integration of industry, academia, research and application at the conference.

During the conference, Mr. Zhou Daijun, chief lecturer of Sanyuan Environment, delivered a presentation on "Application Cases of Ventilation and Sound Insulation Windows" on May 25.

The company's independently developed "purified ventilation soundproof window" has been evaluated for scientific and technological achievements (evaluation result: leading in China). In 2021, it was selected into the National Advanced Pollution Prevention and Control Technology Directory of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and in 2023, it was selected into the Practical Technology and Equipment for Ecological and Environmental Protection, and has been successfully applied to multiple road traffic noise control projects.

The company has taken the lead in exploring a smart noise control model that integrates noise data acquisition, transmission, analysis, and decision-making services by using low-cost noise monitoring micro-stations, big data, artificial intelligence cloud processing systems, and diversified display of an automatic noise monitoring platform. It uses a highly credible "real-time noise map" as a display to empower noise pollution prevention and control technology and help achieve precise control of noise pollution.

This conference not only served as a platform for technical exchange but also as a bridge between policy, scientific research, and industrial implementation. From fundamental research on metamaterials to the application of big data in noise monitoring, multi-dimensional explorations injected new momentum into the goal of "returning tranquility to the people of a peaceful China."
