Non-periodic and irregular sound vibrations are called noise. Noise is a sound that makes people uncomfortable, annoyed, or even unbearable in life and work. It is usually an irregular combination of sounds of different frequencies and intensities. The production noise generated in the production environment is also called industrial noise.
The main damages of noise to the human body are:
(1) Auditory system, which can cause temporary hearing loss (hearing damage) or permanent hearing damage (noise-induced hearing loss);
(2) Autonomic nervous system, which can cause functional disorders and manifest as headaches, dizziness, insomnia, dreaming, memory loss and other symptoms of neurasthenia syndrome;
(3) Cardiovascular system, which can manifest as faster or slower heart rate, unstable blood pressure (tending to increase), and abnormal electrocardiogram changes;
(4) Digestive system, which can cause gastrointestinal dysfunction, loss of appetite, and weakened digestion ability;
(5) Others, such as changes in endocrine, blood, and immune systems. [1] For example, endocrine system manifestations include hyperthyroidism, increased adrenal cortex function, sexual dysfunction, and menstrual disorders.
